Diary of a Supernatural Virgin – The complete journey

It was a long, fun road, but my Diary of a Supernatural Virgin has ended. It all started with my sincere question, “Is Supernatural as good as Buffy?” Little did I know that, 115 comments later, you’d all have me convinced that I not only needed to watch Supernatural, but that I just might find it as good — or better! — than the iconic Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Do I think Supernatural is the better show? That’s fodder for another post, one you can be sure is coming soon, but for now, let’s just enjoy the journey that was my Supernatural experience.

Season one: I loved watching the relationship between the brothers grow and deepen, the story arc getting more complex and they boys’ relationship with their dad.

Season two: Probably my favorite season, definitely the most fun if you loved the music, the Impala and the formula.

Season three: Some of my favorite stand-alone episodes were from this season, as well as great Bela and Bobby moments.

Season four: Parts were a little shaky for me and I wondered if Kripke threw it all away, but no… he elevated the series to a new level once he found his groove again.

So, my Supernatural-loving friends, it may seem as thought the journey is over. In some ways, for me, it has just begun, as now I can write about things I’ve been thinking about throughout the series, but had to wait until I caught up to make them authentic and thorough. Have I tempted you? Good. Then stay tuned, because some good stuff is coming.
