Casting Clack – Taylor Swift on CSI, LL Cool J on NCIS spin-off

Be warned, the casting news after the jump may contain slight spoilers about the roles the actors will play.

This week, we have casting news for: Criminal Minds, CSI, Desperate Housewives, Gossip Girl, Gossip Girl spin-off, Greek, Heroes, Life, NCIS spin-off, Supernatural and Ugly Betty.

Fans of Twilight rejoice! Jackson Rathbone, who played vampire Jasper Hale in the movie, will guest star on a Criminal Minds episode set to be directed by Seinfeld‘s Jason Alexander. Rathbone will play a student who may become the next target of a serial killer. [Source: The Ausiello Files]

Singer Taylor Swift will guest star as the daughter of a hotel manager in the March 5 episode of CSI. [Source: Watch with Kristin]

Pushing Daisies‘ Swoosie Kurtz will join the Desperate Housewives gang as a love interest for one of the Wisteria Lane men. [Source: Watch with Kristin]

Gossip Girl‘s Nate is getting a wealthy cousin named Tripp Vanderbilt! The character will be played by Ghost Town‘s Aaron Tveit. Introduced at the same time is Tripp’s fiancée, Maureen, played by Holley Fain. [Source: TV Guide]

Veronica Mars‘ Krysten Ritter will portray Carol Rhodes, Lily’s older sister, in the Gossip Girl spin-off. The spin-off’s pilot will air as a Gossip Girl episode on May 11. [Source: The Hollywood Reporter]

Come the third season of Greek, actress Tiffany Dupont will no longer be a regular cast member due to creative reasons. Even if Dupont will not portray her character Frannie on a regular basis, the show would like to have her guest star in a few episodes. [Source: The Ausiello Files]

Actress Swoosie Kurtz’s schedule is busy! Along with the Desperate Housewives gig we mentioned earlier, the actress will appear on an episode of Heroes as one of Angela’s friends. [Source: Watch with Kristin]

Gabrielle Union, who played Wilhelmina’s sisters on Ugly Betty, landed guest star role on Life. The actress, who’ll appear in many episodes, will be a partner for Crews. [Source: Watch with Kristin]

LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell are in talks to star in the NCIS spin-off. O’Donnell would play an agent who can easily change persona to do undercover work. As for singer LL Cool J, he would be playing an ex-Navy Seal. The NCIS spin-off is set to be launched later this spring in an episode of NCIS. The spin-off would then become part of the regular schedule come fall 2009. [Source: The Ausiello Files]

Heard the rumor about the third Winchester brother on Supernatural? Turns out the sibling will be played by Threshold’s Jake Abel. The character, named Adam Milligan, will be introduced in the April 23 episode. Papa Winchester hid Adam’s existence from his other two sons. [Source: TV Guide]

Emmy winner Christine Baranski will appear in at least three episodes of ABC’s Ugly Betty as the mother of Betty’s new love interest, Matt. [Source: The Ausiello Files]

I am so hoping that doesn’t turn out to be true about Supernatural. The episode is called “Jump the Shark” so, pleaseohpleaseohplease let it be a ruse! *crossing fingers*
