Michael: Awesomeness. Pure awesomeness. No one — and I mean no one — can possibly view one of these Picassos without crackin’ a smile.
Tara: I too think this is a crack up, and I think I worked with these guys once. My favorite is the one monkey lighting his ceegar with cash!
Michael: His name is Benjamin … same as the president on the hundred he’s lit up.
And I don’t think I’ve worked with these guys before … I have worked with them before! I remember having to go along with their health coverage because I was low man on the totem pole. Part of their medical plan contained mandatory body scrubs and flea dips. It was humiliating.
Tara: I think you should have thought of that as a compliment. Obviously, they considered you one of them.
Michael: Well … at least I know what to buy you for Christmas: A dictionary. Complete with the word “compliment” underscored and highlighted in fluorescent yellow marker for your edification …
Tara: I love the fact that you just completely glossed over me calling you a monkey! And, I must say, when I worked with these guys, I was the straight man in this commercial. They forced me to dance too. For awhile, anyway.
Michael: And … thus … the death of Disco.
Regardless! Monkeys rule! There should be a national campaign promoting monkeys for everything! “Life: It’s Better With Monkeys!” Anywho … how can anyone not like monkeys? They have prehensile tails!
Tara: Perfect for hanging around!
Michael: They enliven parties!
Tara: I adore parties!
Michael: They’re crowd pleasers!
Tara: Don’t like crowds so much!
Michael: But you’d be ‘pleased’ in one if they were there! They make great waiters!
Tara: Always tip 20% people!
Michael: They offer comedic relief!
Tara: Robin Williams??? Where??
Michael: They wear dresses! Stylishly!
Tara: I prefer dressings to dresses!
Michael: *sigh* I’m trying to offer a little bananafied humor for everyone out there and you’re not holding up your end of the bargain!
Tara: Is that a banana you’re holding, or are you just happy to see me?
Michael: *sighs anew*
Tara: *sniggers*

I work with a couple baboon asses… does that count? I haven’t seen one of these commercials in a long while. A couple former coworkers and I would use the site to make our own monkey chat and email back and forth. It’s a load of fun when your boss gives you so much material to monkey around with

I worked at US West doing interviews in Denver a while back and we used to say monkeys could do our job, so these always hit home for me. It’s hard not to laugh at monkeys…well, until that one bit that lady’s face off. Or was that a chimp? Or are they the same thing? Must educate myself. Enjoyed, as per usual! Keep ‘em coming!
