  • While NBC kicks off another Football Night in America and ABC settles down with some more of America’s Funniest Home Videos, CNN’s Anderson Cooper sits down with Olympic medalist Michael Phelps before goldfish America forgets who he is on CBS’s 60 Minutes.

8:00p/7:00 Central

  • On Style, Ruby endures a sudden thunderstorm which leads to her learning about new challenges in her dieting life. On ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, a widow and her three children are left in an 1860’s major fixer-upper without the man who would have done the fixing up.
  • BBC America is offering a two-part mini-series event in Britz. The series tells the story of two second-generation Muslims in the UK who respond and react differently to the 7/7 bombings in London that killed 52.
  • With only one week left until the season finale of CBS’s The Amazing Race, we’re promised an unprecedented and costly mistake that costs one team dearly. Could a front runner be going home?
  • FOX’s “Animation Domination” kicks off with another 24-inspired episode where Bart befriends a Muslim and Homer suspects him and his family of terrorism on The Simpsons. Andy Richter makes a “guest” appearance on King of the Hill, where Bobby and Hank both get involved in a boys’ outdoor group that shall bear no specific resemblance to the Boy Scouts.
  • At 8:15p/7:15 Central, HBO brings the third installment of De La Hoya/Pacquiao 24/7, and then fifteen minutes later it’s time for Sunday Night Football, featuring the Chicago Bears (6-5) battling for the NFC North lead against the Minnesota Vikings (6-5).
  • On Showtime’s Brotherhood, while Tommy resorts to charm to try and learn more about Declan’s corruption probe, Rose learns the truth about her health situation.

9:00p/8:00 Central

  • Miguel presents Rita with a lavish wedding gift, all the while vying for the upper hand with Dexter on Showtime. On CBS, it’s the 2005 case of a murdered African-American bring young politician that draws the attention of the Cold Case team.
  • It’s the aftermath of the fire on ABC’s Desperate Housewives, and while Gaby and Carlos may have made a fortunate discovery, the fallout isn’t as kind to others. Meanwhile, Sharon Osbourne keeps trying to shape up the bitches of Rock of Love Girls: Charm School, but it might be a lost cause.
  • FOX continues their animation block with a repeat of Family Guy, followed by Stan and Roger fighting over a telethon to raise money for the CIA on American Dad.
  • MTV thinks this whole Britney Spears comeback vehicle is the Oscars or something, because they’re starting their coverage of it with an hour-long Britney: For the Record – The Live Countdown.

10:00p/9:00 Central

  • Then you get the one hour and six minute long Britney: For the Record (see it even goes over like an awards show), but stay tuned for the “post show,” too. I shit you not.
  • Meanwhile, reality hour says goodbye to a couple of our old standbys as the seasons end for VH1’s The Pick-Up Artist and WE’s My Fair Wedding. Also new are E!’s The Girls Next Door followed by the second season premiere of Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood, Discovery’s Storm Chasers, and Biography’s Female Forces.
  • Hank thinks back to the early ’90s when he and Karen’s romance was fresh on Showtime’s Californication. When that’s over, you can jump ship to HBO and watch Mr. G’s auditions for his new musical on Summer Heights High.
  • As part of TBS’s The Comedy Festival, join host Brad Garrett as he is joined by comedians and friends to Cheech & Chong: Roasted.

11:00p/10:00 Central

  • Never piss off the IT guy. It’s a lesson learned on HBO’s The Life and Times of Tim. TBS keeps The Comedy Festival going with Tracy Morgan hosting a slew of stand-up comedians including Mark Curry, Sheryl Underwood, Corey Holcomb, Lavell Crawford and Earthquake in Laffapalooza.
  • Oh and don’t forget at 11:06p/10:06 Central, you can’t miss MTV’s Britney: For the Record – Post Show. Did you think I was joking about this shit? It’s Britney’s night, baby!
