  • Barack Obama has booked thirty minutes of air time on three major networks to bring his message directly to you. He’ll be simulcast on CBS, FOX and NBC. As for John McCain? He doesn’t have that kind of money!
  • ABC, however, was wary to disrupt their low-rated lineup (for some reason–I guess they don’t want high ratings), so are forging ahead with a new Pushing Daisies. Tonight, Stephen Root guests as an old friend of Ned’s dad who wants his help to find the old man. Alternately, three models bathe together in Europe on The CW’s America’s Next Top Model, but I’m sure it’s not as hot as it sounds.
  • FOX follows Obama then with the continuation of Monday’s World Series Game 5, suspended in the fifth tied at 2-2. The Phillies can wrap it up with a victory as they’re leading the series 3-1 right now. CBS follows it up with The New Adventures of Old Christine where Barb and Christine double-date, but only one date goes well.
  • NBC sticks with their default schedule filler by giving us a 90-minute installment of Deal or No Deal after Obama’s special.
  • The Discovery Channel’s Time Warp keeps on bringing you slo-mo fun, this week featuring tasers and crash-test dummies. MyNetwork TV throws up another new The Tony Rock Project.

  • After taking a spanking by the Phillies in Game 4, the Rays’ backs are against the wall down 3-1 going into tonight’s World Series Game 5 on FOX. ESPN has Monday Night Football for the pigskin fan with the Colts taking on the Titans at the half hour.
  • ABC’s Dancing With the Stars is back for another round of competition, while NBC’s Chuck has to cozy up to Jeff, which may be even more challenging, when Jeff turns out to be the key to avoiding WWIII. He also has to explain his increasingly erratic behavior to guest Tony Hale (Arrested Development).
  • Ski Patrol keeps following the lives and times of the men and women who control the slopes on TruTV (how far it’s come from a court channel).
  • On TLC’s Little People, Big World the first episode features Matt and Amy speaking together at a conference, while the second has Zach making a civil war film for extra credit. Not to be left out, Jenny is encouraged to let out her wild side on The CW’s Gossip Girl.
  • CBS is on repeats all night, starting with a The Big Bang Theory from last season, with the boys fighting over who gets to date Sheldon’s hot twin sister. Then it’s time for Robin Sparkles’ sophomore video, “Sandcastles in the Sand,” on How I Met Your Mother.

  • The CW starts off their long farmed out Sunday night with a 4Real repeat featuring Casey Affleck. That’s followed by a new 4Real features Mos Def visiting the City of God outside Rio de Janeiro.

6:00p/5:00 Central

  • Stick with The CW for a repeat performance of the series premiere of Valentine. See, apparently everybody missed it the first time around. Are you going to miss it again? It’s okay, so am I.

7:00p/6:00 Central

  • CBS’s 60 Minutes explores credit default swaps, T. Boone Pickens mission to reduce our dependency on foreign oil, Greg Carr’s mission to bring more tourism to the poorest parts of Africa.
  • NBC offers up Football Night in America, recapping last week’s action but won’t have NLF Sunday Night Football tonight due to the World Series. If that depresses you, you can always tune into ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos. Apparently shots to the crotch are still funny.
  • On The CW, a new In Harm’s Way looks at land mine clearance. Talk about a tough job, you can’t pay me enough to walk a minefield looking for mines … What’s that? Oh they don’t– Oh. Technology. Yeah, that would work better.

  • America’s Toughest Jobs wraps its first season run on NBC with a finale where the final four contestants must face again the toughest jobs of the competition so far. CMT’s Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling was more fun than I expected, but I’m an old school wrestling fan. The second episode kicks off tonight.
  • For sports fans, it’s a choice between ABC’s Saturday Night College Football and World Series Game 3 on FOX. That one’s all tied up and headed to Phillie for tonight’s contest.
  • MyNetwork TV is throwing on the feature film Wes Craven’s Dracula, while CBS offers up another Saturday night of repeats, starting with an NCIS from last year featuring Gibbs’ wife as a witness in a murder case.

  • Pull on your bulletproof vest and tune into the BET’s Hip Hop Awards ‘08. Actually, hopefully there won’t be any shootings at this one. The Rays are shooting themselves that they blew game one against the Phillies, but there’s always World Series Game 2 tonight on FOX to even things up.
  • One contestant suffers a breakdown and food struggles continue on CBS’s Survivor: Gabon.
  • Can Earl avoid being a snitch on NBC’s My Name is Earl? After that, on Kath & Kim, Kath starts planning her wedding, Kim tells her she’s too old for a fancy shindig and then both suspect their significant others of having affairs. Is this show clicking for you? It’s still a little weird for me. If you’d rather flip over to Lifetime there’s yet another Rita Rocks on. For the record, this will be a Tuesday night show once this week-long premiere ends.
  • Would you rather see Lindsay Lohan return to ABC’s Ugly Betty? She needs Betty’s help to find a job. Maybe TV will work for the Lohan until she can get her shit together more. Or, on The CW’s Smallville, a serial killer may be meteor-infected (hey, remember when that was every week!). It may be Davis, too. Gasp!

  • Tonight, the ladies shoot a Cover Girl commercial on America’s Next Top Model over on The CW. At the half-hour, yet another new Rita Rocks on Life time.
  • The Discovery Channel offers two new opportunities to learn how stuff look in slo-mo with two new Time Warp episodes.  Or MyNetwork TV offers up another new The Tony Rock Project.
  • Mike and KITT race to stop a dam explosion on NBC’s Knight Rider, while David Arquette guests in a new Pushing Daisies on ABC, which also features an appearance by Emerson’s mom.
  • CBS’s Wednseday night comedy block starts with Christine trying to convince Richard to have another baby with her now that Ritchie doesn’t want to say “I love you” anymore on The New Adventures of Old Christine. Then, Gary Unmarried watches in horror as his ex and his current start to become too chummy.
