Napoleon Dynamite wakes up “Dead” – Webisode Clack
First Kafka made Gregor wake up as a bug. Now, Drex Greene is waking up in a body bag. Sony pictures is venturing into webisodes (jumping on the same bandwagon as NBC with The Office and SyFy with Battlestar Galactica, to name two others). In Woke Up Dead, Jon Heder, probably best known for playing the starring role in Napoleon Dynamite, plays Drex Greene, just a regular guy in his twenties, who wakes up in a body bag, scaring the young medical student tech (Krysten Ritter from 27 Dresses and Breaking Bad) who was presumably about to slice him open for an autopsy (or cut his clothes away, who knows?)
Webisode Clack – Ctrl

I’ve never really been a huge fan of the webisode content that the networks have done to coincide with existing shows. More often than not, it just feels like they are checking off a box for “web promotion” than doing anything of real substance. That’s not to say that the networks can’t get it right with web based content. When they get on board with something totally original, that’s when I get interested. And, ya know, if they can get Tony Hale to star in it, so much the better. This week, we take a look at NBC’s workplace (time travel?) comedy, Ctrl. Read the rest of this entry »
Webisode Clack – Fury Of Solace

I know that there are many fans of Dr. Horrible among the CliqueClack audience. Those of you that count yourself among that lot will probably remember the contest that coincided with the DVD. Fans were given the opportunity to submit video applications to the Evil League Of Evil, with the winners being included on the DVD. One of those that I thought was a standout was Fury Of Solace. Unfortunately, it didn’t make the cut, but the story doesn’t end there. Fury Of Solace is back, and in a very interesting way. Read the rest of this entry »
Jaleel White joins the webseries world – Webisode Clack

Not much has been heard about actor Jaleel White since his days as the lovable nerd Steven Urkel on Family Matters. Besides a more adult role on UPN’s Grown Ups, the voice of the animated Sonic the Hedgehog, and various roles on episodes of Boston Legal and The Game, Jaleel has kept a low profile. That all changed after Jaleel took on a role in a new comedy series. Except this series isn’t on terrestrial TV. Instead, it’s on the Webernet, which is increasingly becoming the haven of those tired of the corporate dealings of major media.
A return to Twin Peaks? Even without David Lynch, I’m on board
If you aren’t signed up for the CliqueClack Twitter feed, you may have missed this little bit of news. According to IMDb, Kyle MacLachlan wants to bring Dale Cooper back to our TV screens. Well, not quite our TV screens. He is interested in reviving the cult classic Twin Peaks in webisode form. MacLachlan goes on to say that David Lynch wouldn’t be available to collaborate on these webisodes.
Anyone who knows me well would be shocked at my next statement: I don’t care if David Lynch is too busy pushing transcendental meditation to get involved — I want more Twin Peaks!
Webisode Clack – Scrubs webisodes make me think the show could’ve survived without Zach Braff
Before Bill Lawrence announced this would be the last season of Scrubs, rumors were rampant that the show, if its ratings held up, was going to remain on the ABC schedule. With or without creator Lawrence and star Zach Braff. Heck, even Bill himself said something to that effect when the show premiered in January!
Sure, Zach was the center of the show for its years on NBC, but there are now enough established characters to keep the show going without Braff in the middle of it all. In addition, Lawrence and his crew introduced a whole new set of interns this year. With enough time and pruning, these folks could have carried on the traditions that the show has carefully honed over the years.
The perfect example of this “what could have been” scenario? The current slate of Scrubs:Interns webisodes.
If you want to know Gaeta’s “secret,” watch the webisodes

In reading some of the comments about last night’s Battlestar Galactica, I was surprised to find out that a lot of viewers didn’t know what Baltar was talking about when he mentioned knowing what Gaeta’s “secret” was. What’s actually more surprising, to me (and I’ve said this before already) is that something relatively big was revealed in the webisodes, something not every viewer of this show is necessarily going to watch.
First, I’m going to embed the webisode in question where we learn Gaeta’s secret. Then, in case you’re really frakking lazy, I’ll just tell you what it is.
