Diary of a Veronica Mars virgin – Veronica gets a new friend, Logan gets a new girl
(Season 2, Episodes 13-16)
One of the things that I’ve really grown to appreciate about Veronica Mars is the setting that Rob Thomas created. Neptune is a place where it is almost believable that horrible things happen every week. With the air of class warfare, it really is a place that would be rife with crime and shenanigans. It’s sort of like how the Hellmouth on Buffy explained why there was a new monster every week on that show.
Diary of a Veronica Mars virgin – Don’t let the door hit you, Duncan
(Season 2, Episodes 9-12)
Can it be true? Is Duncan really gone? I have to admit that I did head over to IMDb in search of spoilers. Not real spoilers, but I was happy to see that Teddy Dunn is listed as appearing in “credits only” for the rest of the season. Awesome.
Were there any fans of the Duncan character? I have to assume that Rob Thomas was fond of him, but all the people I have talked to about the show seem to agree that Duncan is a huge bore.
Diary of a Veronica Mars virgin – A darker turn

(Season 2, Episodes 5-8)
Season two of Veronica Mars continues and I’m not seeing the drop off that some people warned me about. I think it’s quite similar to season one, actually. I’m wondering if the season long mystery isn’t going to end up as tight as the one in season one. At this point in the season, the mystery is still a little unclear. I suppose it’s the bus crash and what exactly happened. Certainly, that’s not as compelling as Lily’s murder in season one. Maybe if the writers had actually killed some characters that we had cared about, I would be more invested in the crash, but….
Diary of a Veronica Mars virgin – Season two starts with a crash
(Season 2, Episodes 1-4)
In taking stock of season two, so far a few things became apparent. Veronica Mars really likes certain actors. In the slightly washed up popular actor from the ’80s category, they’ve replaced Harry Hamlin with Steve Guttenberg (The Goot!). I’m totally down with this. The former Buffy vixen is being played by (a very scantily clad) Charisma Carpenter this season, though I hope that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of Alyson Hannigan (was she filming How I Met Your Mother at this point?).
In any case, season two seems to be getting off to a good start. There were certainly some jaw dropping moments in the first few episodes, so let’s get right to it….
