5:00p/4:00 Central

  • At 5:30p/4:30 Central The CW kicks off its new Sunday night lineup with a new 4Real, featuring Eva Mendes visiting Vancouver to take a look at its problems with homelessness and addiction.

7:00p/6:00 Central

  • 60 Minutes on CBS takes a look at what may be the world’s oldest family business, the battle of Sadr City, and the man who infiltrated the Gambino family reveals his identity for the first time.
  • The CW’s In Harm’s Way examines those people who risk their lives to capture live animals. I think they mean more than chihuahuas, though those little bitches can be mean!
  • The NFL on NBC kicks off with Football Night in America, while ABC brings you videos of guys getting their arms caught in power windows and getting pooped on by birds.
  • But oh my God, that’s not nearly as dramatic as the first season finale of My Super Sweet 16: Exiled on MTV. I mean, those girls really know what suffering and danger is. Sometimes … sometimes they don’t get the exact model sports car they wanted. You know how (*gasp*) hard that is!

  • The Dodgers look to rebound in the NLCS Game 2 on FOX against the Phillies after dropping Game One 3-2 last night.

8:00p/7:00 Central

  • Later, on TBS, Boston and Tampa Bay get their contest on as the ALCS Game 1 begins.
  • You could also tune into domestic squabbling as a pampered “queen” switches families with a strong woman on ABC’s Wife Swap. Or just go with the scripted squabbling and fighting on MyNetwork TV’s WWE SmackDown!
  • Rochelle finds it harder to ditch an ex-con as a friend than she intended on a new Everybody Hates Chris on The CW. Then, on The Game, Melanie decides to get to the bottom of Janay’s pregnancy and find out once and for all who that baby’s daddy is.
  • Alternately, Rachel Leigh Cook guests as Melinda reconnects with her old high school friends when a former classmate dies on CBS’s Ghost Whisperer. Does this mean high school flashbacks starring Jennifer Love Hewitt? They should just grab footage from Part of Five.
  • The ten remaining contestants on NBC’s America’s Toughest Jobs compete as loggers tonight. Meanwhile, Jeopardy legend Ken Jennings asks himself FOX’s tough question, Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?

8:00p/7:00 Central

  • FOX programming goes on hiatus for a while now as the baseball postseason finally comes to the major networks. Well, the NLCS at least. The ALCS, starting tomorrow, is still on TBS. Tonight’s NLCS Game 1 features the Dodgers taking on the Phillies.
  • NBC premieres their new Thursday night October line-up, starting with a familiar face as David Arquette guests on My Name is Earl as an injured stuntman Earl wronged. Then, the premiere of the much hyped and critically acknowledged Kath & Kim. It’s the story of a mother and daughter starring Molly Shannon as the mother and Selma Blair as the daughter. Never mind that the actresses are the same age, the UK original did that, too.
  • An accident brings the police in and the detective skills of Ugly Betty out on ABC. Meanwhile, Smallville goes for the obscure bringing in DC character (even the network couldn’t call her a DC star) Maxima.
  • CBS’s Survivor: Gabon goes a little early in forcing the castaways to reveal how they feel about one another by having the tribes rank each other in order of importance.
