The X-Files Virgin’s Diary – Four very bad men in a row
(Season 3, Episodes 5-8)
Well, this week we look at how The X-Files deals with bad men. Some of them have supernatural abilities. Some of them don’t. But they all have one thing in common: They’re men who are bastards.
And they’re men who do terrible things to other people. It got to where I was looking for a woman to do something bad, just so I wouldn’t start hating my gender. Scully, double park! Hey lady, shoplift that package. But alas, the women wouldn’t have it. They were too busy being victims. Which really isn’t much better, is it? Read the rest of this entry »
Quotations Marks – Keith and Veronica Mars banter like rock stars

I do have to admit. I’m a bit jealous Bob. I’ve been a Veronica Mars fan for day one, so its definitely one of those shows that I wish I could go back and watch fresh. One of the best parts of putting together this post is getting to cull through quotes from the Virgin Diary reviews, and Veronica Mars is always one of the best reads.

The X-Files Virgin’s Diary – Closing season one … and the X-files?

(Season 1, Episodes 21-24)
Another fun guest appearance in these last four installments of Season One. And a welcome return. Doug Hutchison was truly one of the creepiest monsters of the week as Eugene Tooms (I’m still checking my vents every night before I go to bed), so it was great seeing his creepy performance again.
I was even more surprised, though, to see Zeljko Ivanek as a mentally challenged twin in “Roland.” He gave a stellar performance, so convincing that if I hadn’t already seen him elsewhere I might have thought they got a truly autistic man to play the role. It’s nice to know that he was just as good at giving the creepiest stares back then as he is now.
