The body of a dead Navy diver washing up on shore starts a turf war between NCIS and CGIS, the Coast Guard’s investigative service. Diane Neal guest stars as a CGIS special agent.

A man is shot in the woods, and his fingerprints confirm that he’s been MIA for six years. But when a second wife comes forward to confirm that he’s been alive and well and living in DC for years, Gibbs and his team have to figure what actually happened on a botched operation in Afghanistan.

Gibbs’ mother-in-law, played by Gena Rowlands, makes a reappearance in Gibbs’ life in the least expected of ways, throwing him for a loop. But when he figures out why she’s really there, will he be able to handle it?

Tobias Fornell returns to help Gibbs and his NCIS team track down an illegal trucking ring responsible for the death of a former Marine, at the behest of another ex-Marine who the team has bumped up against before.

I don’t know how else to sum up the end of last night’s episode of NCIS but as disappointing. And it’s not merely due to the fact that before he may or may not have kissed her, Gibbs knew that Ms. Hart (Rena Sofer) was Colonel Bell’s attorney and wasn’t necessarily on the up-and-up. Or [...]

A lot of fun stuff on tonight’s episode of NCIS. First of all, I thought using cat litter to contain the smell of the dead body was extremely creative. It’s one of those things that sounds so simple when you hear it, yet it wouldn’t have occurred to you when faced with the problem yourself. [...]
