Lost in Lost – Spoilers pouring in from Comic-Con
Lost in Lost has been absent for a while now during the very quiet off-season, but with San Diego Comic-Con in full swing this previous week, radio silence was broken and a ton of little spoilery tidbits have been rolling in. If you’d like to go into the final season completely fresh then stay away. Certainly, there isn’t anything Earth shattering in this information, but they are spoilers none-the-less. I am, however, dying to talk about some of them.
Lost in Lost – Matthew Fox drops some spoilerage
If the title of this post wasn’t hint enough for you, be warned that spoilers for the final season follow. Well, to be honest, Matthew Fox’s comments from the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, aren’t all that spoilery, and I’m not even sure how trustworthy they are. Not that I’m calling him a liar, but I don’t put it past the producers or any of the actors of Lost to keep things close to the vest and put out false information in the name of keeping things secret and surprising.
With all that being said, let’s talk about what Fox had to say….
Lost in Lost – So … about next season
Well, we’ve all had a few weeks to digest the finale of Lost now. I was hoping that in that time I was going to have some sort of incredible epiphany and have all the answers for you about next season and what it was going to look like. That didn’t happen. I do think enough time has passed, however, that we can start to toss around some ideas about what next season is going to entail. Here are my thoughts….
Lost in Lost – Some Ben Speculation
Well, no answers on Daniel this week, and I don’t think there will be any anytime soon. Oh, well. There is never a shortage of things to talk about on Lost. This week, I want to turn my attention to Ben. This past week’s episode focused on the young version of the diabolical other, and judging from the previews for this week’s episode, it will focus on the older version that we have grown to know so well.
I really hope that we get to see what happens to young Ben when Richard Alpert brings him into the temple, where he will become an Other for the rest of time. I have a feeling that a lot of the island’s secrets lie inside that temple, and damn it, I want a look inside! We saw that it turned Rousseau’s crew into mind-warped killers, and the argument could be made, I suppose, that it did the same thing to Ben.
Lost in Lost – Where is Daniel?
I know that all the talk after last week’s episode of Lost was about Ben, and his fate, but, frankly, that’s not the character that I’ve been thinking about the most recently. I don’t think there are any alternate timelines at work and I don’t think little Ben is in any real danger; he’ll be fine.
The one person that I am beginning to worry about more and more is Daniel. We don’t know much about his current (if we can use that word anymore with all the time travel) situation. What we do know is that he is not with the others in Dharmaville, as Sawyer said, “not anymore.”
Lost in Lost – Midseason evaluation, theories, and speculation
Here we are, halfway through the season. I was under the impression that the season was going to be shown straight through without any repeats, but as we saw this week, I was misinformed. In any case, I thought it would be a good time to take a step back, evaluate the season so far, and discuss what may lay ahead.
The big reveal at the end of last season was John Locke, dead and in the coffin, which we had been speculating about for an entire year. It was very clear at that point that the Oceanic Six needed to get back to the island. I, for one, was pretty sure that it was going to take the entirety of season five to get our favorite characters back to the island. Well, half way through season five, they are back on the island, and a whole lot more has been revealed….
Lost in Lost: Season 5 title speculation

With every passing week, Lost creeps closer and closer to my TV (and yours). All the signs are there; If you missed it, an official promo was released. You can check it out over on ABC’s site. If you haven’t seen it yet, give it a look. There’s not much in it, but it certainly gets the saliva going for a big juicy slice of Lost. Mmmm… Lost… We shouldn’t get too carried away, though; we still don’t even know what timeslot the show will be in when it comes back in the nebulous “early 2009.”
The spoilers are beginning to trickle in, too, though, and Dark UFO is reporting the titles of the first six episodes of the new season. Is there anything that we can learn from these titles? Any little nuggets of coveted information? Probably not, but that doesn’t mean we can’t dig in and see what we can find. Beware, if you consider episode titles spoilery, stay away!
