Because you demanded it: According to Jim repeats – Daily Rerun Roundup
It’s Tuesday. Only three more months till the fall TV season begins. Yes, that sound you heard was the collective sigh of depressed television viewers everywhere.
- It’s Crimetime Tuesday on CBS (though, isn’t every night on CBS Crimetime?) with repeats of NCIS, The Mentalist, and 48 Hours Mystery. Antonio Sabato Jr. and Traci Scoggins guest star on NCIS.
- It’s House and Prefab House (also known as Mental) on FOX. This week’s repeat of House begins the ‘Cuddy Wants a Baby’ epic.
- Comedy returns to the ABC schedule tonight with repeats of According to Jim, Scrubs and Better off Ted. One of these shows (According to Jim) is not like the others as both Scrubs and Ted are returning in 2010.
- It’s Crimetime Tuesday on NBC with two episodes of Law & Order:SVU and a new I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, which is a crime to viewers sense of good taste.
- I’d mention the Tuesday night schedule for The CW, but the site I’m using isn’t even listing it. That says something about the network, doesn’t it?

House (again), NCIS, and the Mentalist – Daily Re-run Roundup

It’s the last Tuesday in May, which means a lot of repeats but not much substance. However, that doesn’t stop us from revisiting these shows because — paraphrasing a previous NBC tag line — they’re new to you. If they’re not new, you can still read insightful and pithy commentary on these shows, prepared by the pithy and insightful CliqueClack staff, to determine if you want to watch again or start watching.
- Do you miss Lucas Douglas, the private eye House originally hired to find out what Wilson was doing? If you do, then catch House at 8:00 p.m. on FOX to reminisce and question whatever happened to this character.
- Tonight’s NCIS (8:00 p.m. on CBS) has Gibbs doubting his own judgment when he puts a rookie on a case involving bank robbery and murder. Compared to the events in the season finale, this seems pretty mild.
- After NCIS comes a repeat of The Mentalist, where Jane and the team investigate a country club murder. Of course, there’s more to the club’s clientele than meets the eye.
- NBC rebroadcasts the 10th season premiere of Law & Order: SVU tonight. The season finale is next Tuesday. Even if you haven’t watched it in a while, I recommend tuning in just to see the show in its current time slot before its evicted by Jay Leno.
Anything that I missed in repeats that you’re interested in this evening?
Law & Order Wrap-up – We’re in a recession; I get it!

Law & Order: SVU – Lead
Big things were afoot this week on SVU: Alex is back, and boy, did hilarity ensue with that one. Actually, I’m not sure if this was actually as funny as it seemed to me, but I sure got a kick out of it. The episode started off normally enough: The new DA was all frosty and fired up in that monotone way of hers. Then we come back from the first commercial break and Alex is showing up at the crime scene instead of her. And it goes a little something like this:
Benson: “Uh, hey Alex. It’s kind of weird seeing you here.”
Alex: “Oh, hey Liv.”
Benson: “Hey, remember when we saw you get shot, and were really sad, but it turned out you faked your own death and went into witness protection? Those were crazy times. ANYWAY, I heard that all of the dudes who were after you are dead now, and you’ve been out of witness protection for like 3 YEARS.”
Alex: “…Yeah, sorry about that. I meant to call.”
