The Week In Clack – Paula quits, Paris on Supernatural, and Anna engaged
With the big TCA presentations going on, it’s been a pretty big week for TV news. However, all of the talk about what we can look forward to in the fall was trumped by one short little burst on Twitter, from Paula Abdul. She chose that unconventional venue to announce that she’s leaving American Idol. What does that mean for the show? With any luck, the beginning of a steady decline that ends in cancellation. Until we are visited by those glorious days, it looks like it will be business as usual.
Kara DioGuardi will be back. According to Mike Darnell, president of alternative at FOX, “Kara’s spitfire personality and sharp musical sensibility infused American Idol with a new energy last year.” Well, one man’s “spitfire personality” is another’s “bitchy haranguing.” Paula will be replaced during the auditions by a collection of pop stars. So far, that includes Katy Perry and Victoria Beckham. I like that idea, but I hope they’re ready. Those are some awfully crazy shoes to fill. It’s unclear what will happen once the competition begins.

Harper’s Island – Have we seen the last of Booth?

Point
Let’s get right to the meat of the matter here. The killer is not Abby’s dad, despite what Madison has to say about who kidnapped her. First of all, did Madison ever see Abby’s father, or did she simply know her father was “the sheriff?” Could it be that the kidnapper was simply dressed as a sheriff or a police officer?
Secondly, it’s way too soon for a killer to be revealed. We won’t know until the third-to-last episode at the earliest — we’ve got more than that left to sit through.
Diary of a Supernatural Virgin – Sam: little girl or heartless killer?

Season three, Episodes 4-7
The biggest tie for all of these episodes is Sam. Did he come back from the dead a different sort of Sam? Bobby says demons lie, but yellow eyes sure made Dean wonder, and me too, quite frankly. Yeah, Sam’s mostly still a little girl, but it’s a lot easier for him to kill these days. Whether reality has set in, or his demon side is taking over, only time will tell.
Harper’s Island once looked much different

First let me start out by saying that there will be quite a few potential spoilers in this post. So, if you’re not interested in learning a bit about what might happen later in Harper’s Island, you may want to tread carefully.
I say that there are “potential” spoilers here because, as you will soon find out, this show’s changed quite a bit since the original screener came out sometime last year. Out of any screener I’ve seen in the past few years or so, I don’t believe I’ve seen as many major casting changes as there were with this show. So, with the cast changed so much, who knows what’s happened to the story, since it looks as though most of it had to be entirely re-shot!
