Wil Wheaton on The Big Bang Theory

Well, well, well … if it isn’t Wil Wheaton playing … Wil Wheaton. In the geekdom that is comic and science fiction, the world in which our Big Bang Theory boys dwell, Wil is up there on his pedestal admired by the masses. Little does Wil know, he has one enemy out there in the world (besides all the bloggers over the years he’s conned out of their Guinness, by telling new bloggers aboard it’s tradition to buy him a Guinness. He’s probably stockpiling them.) But this isn’t about Wil. Wait. It is.

sytycdtop14Is it just me or have the girls in this season of So You Think You Can Dance, much like their counterparts in American Idol, totally fallen flat this season?  I mean, partially talent-wise, I’m just not feeling the girls, but especially personality-wise. Especially since Asuka left, the girls have felt completely flat to me. I have a few who I like above the others (Jeanine, Janette, Randi), but, really, they’re all kind of a blob of “eh”-ness to me.

The boys, on the other hand, at least inspire emotion. I actually care when it comes to elimination time who’s going home. Which, correct me if I’m wrong, is sort of the point.

How TV reviews ruin TV – Clack’n Black

the office
If you’re reading this post, it means one of two things:

1. You’re a huge television fan who uses the internet to augment your viewing pleasure.

2. You thought “CliqueClacking” was some sort of hardcore fetish you haven’t heard of yet.

If you’re the latter, sorry. I hope you find what you’re looking for and don’t worry, we don’t judge you.

If you’re the former, read on.

The other day, I was talking about The Office with my buddy Chris. We were discussing how the show is still pretty good, but that the patina of Awesome that used to hug the show tighter than the green on the Statue of Liberty seems to be gone now. That it’s no longer a new and exciting experience each and every week, but rather just a pleasant experience, quickly forgotten.

(Insert joke about being married here).

Why, yes! Penny and Leonard are finally kissing once again! However could that have happened? Could it be the meteor of love crashing to the Earth? Did Kurt dump Penny once again? Did Leonard’s chivalrous acts of last week make him her knight in shining armor? Or …?

Just when I was thinking Derek and Meredith would get their happy ending, Addison calls and messes things up! Yeah, I know she had a good reason, but Derek had the flowers and candles and everything all set (thanks to Sloan, which was funny in itself)!

But I believe Shonda Rhimes will hold true to her statement about giving Derek and Meredith a happy ending. OK, I’m sure it won’t be all happy, but hopefully, they’ll make it work one way or another.

(Season 5, Episode 12 – “Stairway to Heaven” Grey's Anatomy - Grey's Anatomy, Season 5 - Stairway to Heaven)

“I believe in Heaven … I also believe in Hell. I’ve never seen either, but I believe they exist. They have to exist, because without a Heaven, without a Hell, we’re all just headed for limbo.” – Denny’s voiceover

Holy Talomey, what an episode! We had people cracking up all over the place, and I was gripped, GRIPPED I tell you. And Denny’s ominous words, “I’m here for you, Izzie Stephens,” now make sense. I think.

So it’s looking like maybe Izzie’s got that brain tumor … or something … we’ve all been speculating about. But whether she’ll actually succumb to it or not remains to be seen. You know, Denny could have helped her figure it out sooner. It might be too late now.  I totally understand why she was ticked at him.

(Season 5, Episode 13 – “The Best Thing That Ever Could Have Happened” Desperate Housewives - Desperate Housewives, Season 5 - The Best Thing That Ever Could Have Happened)

We really don’t see enough of Beau Bridges. He needs a regular gig somewhere — more than Earl’s dad — and that was made clearly evident in tonight’s episode of Desperate Housewives, in which he played a handyman who keels over from a heart attack while fixing Susan’s roof.

Like most unsung heroes of neighborhoods across the country, Beau’s character, Eli Scruggs, is an important guy on Wisteria Lane. And he’s connected to everyone on the street in one way or another. It was a flashback episode….
