Big Love – Is the show really all about Nicki Grant’s journey?
Of course, Big Love has an ensemble cast and isn’t about only one character. That is why the show is so complicated. But if you peel away all of the storylines except Nicki’s, it becomes really clear that even with all of the other characters and plotlines, Nicki represents the heart of the show.
When we first met Nicki, she was a spoiled, indulgent girl with a big spending problem. Real World: Brooklyn – Penis vs. vagina
The brewing battle of the sexes finally boiled over in the recent edition of Real World: Brooklyn. After weeks of poking and prodding from both sides, a late night clear the air session turned ugly. Fingers were pointed, voices were raised and furniture was smashed. What exactly precipitated this rampage? Try dirty dishes. To think the whole blow-up could have been avoided with a sponge and a bottle of Dawn.
Apparently, the gals don’t like to wash dishes or take out trash. The guys are sick and tired of doing all the housework. To alleviate the problem, JD constructs a chore list. This way everyone can assign their name beside a specific chore. Makes sense, right? Well, the girls spurn the idea and get annoyed that the boys are attempting to lay down the law. Katelynn deploys the “you’re not my daddy” defense when Scott asks her to take a turn on sink duty. Then she whines about the guys being babies. So, Scott hides the car keys. It’s go time!
Scrubs – Being the new Chief of Medicine sucks
Tonight’s twofer thematically fit together, with both episodes focusing primarily on Dr. Perry Cox’s adjustment to being the new Chief of Medicine. It turns out it’s a helluva lot of work and it’s almost guaranteed to make you unpopular, as his new friend Dr. Kelso tells him.
See, Dr. Kelso wasn’t so bad. He just had a tough job, and someone has to make those decisions that piss everyone off. And now that person is Dr. Cox. Unfortunately, Dr. Cox doesn’t like to admit he can’t do anything, so he’ll just take on these tasks on top of everything he did before. What could possible go wrong? Ask his son Jack.
