WTF, Worst Week?

CBS
I don’t know what my deal is so far this TV season, but I have already fallen severely behind. I managed to catch all of the Thursday shows, but I missed the premiere of House, the first half-hour of Heroes, and the debut of Fringe. The fall season is coming up on me so quickly, that Do Not Disturb was canceled before I even got a chance to see it.
This past week was a little better, but the heavily promoted new CBS comedy Worst Week managed to get by me. Luckily, it’s available on my Comcast On Demand, so I was able to catch up on the first two episodes. Okay, I said “luckily,” because it seemed like a good idea at the time, but that was before I actually watched the show and discovered what a steaming pile of crap it is.
No surprises here, the first cancelled show is from FOX!
A mere day after FOX’s Do Not Disturb creators say they are sorry for offering a sucky product, the network announces that it’s axing the show and will put repeats of ‘Til Death in the now-vacant timeslot.

Tonight on the tube: Knight Rider, Christine, CSI: NY and more!
8:00p/7:00 Central
- The three night premiere of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars concludes tonight with the elimination of a second couple. I’m not sure why cutting two couples in the opening week is a good idea, but I’m sure the ratings boost from three nights of Stars can’t hurt.
- Over on NBC, we’ll see if it was just nostalgia and curiosity that turned last year’s movie into a hit, or if people really are clamoring for the return of Knight Rider. I’m tuning in, but worrying that I may be witnessing the next Bionic Woman.
- FOX keeps things rolling with a new Bones, featuring the team tackling the case of the headless sci fi writer.
- CBS offers up the season premiere of The New Adventures of Old Christine, in which the much touted marriage between Christine and best friend Barb takes center stage. Coupled with Christine is the new series Gary Unmarried. In fact, it’s almost the same show, except that it’s from the divorce ex-husband’s point of view (Jay Mohr), rather than the ex-wife.
- Or, if you need reality surprises in your life, there’s always America’s Next Top Model on The CW, featuring not one but two eliminations! Read the rest of this entry »
