- BBC America’s version of Gladiators continues with more action. I’ve never watched it, so does anyone know if they use the giant Q-Tips on the UK version as well?

- Not sure if it will be the start of a trend in the same way that Hercules: The Legendary Journeys was leading to more new series, but Legend of the Seeker is turning into a fun fantasy series. Don’t go in expecting any of the camp you got on Hercules and Xena as this fantasy takes itself completely serious. Don’t go in expecting a faithful adaptation of The Sword of Truth novel series either, but it’s still good episodic escapist adventure. Of course, check your local listings for times.

- BBC America offers up the latest installment of their variation on American Gladiators. While Gladiators continues, NBC has not yet scheduled the return of AG so this may be your only place to get this kind of entertainment for awhile.
TV Shows Off the Beaten Path – COPS
Oh, c’mon. You know you’ve watched it. Heck, it’s in its 21st season. You might not want to admit that it’s a guilty pleasure, but you’ve surely hummed “Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do when they come for you” and pictured nefarious ne’er-do-wells in their dirty wife-beater t-shirts with cans of Bud in their hands. COPS is a bit of a cultural phenomenon with a catchy theme song. However, it’s rarely reviewed and folks just don’t talk about it much at all. Thus, it makes it on the “Off the Beaten Path” list.

- As I’m from the St. Louis area, the story of Shawn Hornbeck’s shocking rescue and recovery after his disappearance for years was followed pretty closely. While he’s been mostly quiet since, recouping with family, he’ll be speaking out for the first time about his captivity on CBS’s 48 Hours Mystery.
- FOX sticks to its guns as it has for two decades, offering up back-to-back Cops. And ABC goes with the old standby of Saturday Night College Football. Let’s face it, nobody’s at home watching TV on Saturdays anymore. That’s why MyNetwork TV is having movie night at home with Walking Tall.
- So is there a difference between A&E’s Flip This House and TLC’s Flip That House? Other than one word? It seems to me like it’s the same show. I would have at least tried to get a little more creative with the name. After that, tune into (gasp!) another design show, Over Designed, featuring someone who’s obsessed with an “African King” motif.

- TLC offers up the finale of the feel good story of Greensburg, KS as the community comes together to put the finishing touches on their homes destroyed by a tornado in Making It Home: Greensburg.
8:00p/7:00 Central
- The good times continue on TLC with Flip That House and Over Designed. In the former you can watch as a home is built on the cheap and rebuilt into something nice. On the latter, you can watch design expert Kenneth Brown teach a lady that when it comes to home decor, there is a things as too much penguins.
- I’ll be watching Cops on FOX so I can see what not to do the next time I get chased by Jonny Law. I’m taking bets on ABC’s Saturday Night College Football and I know I’m ‘a hafta bust some kneecaps if these bitches don’t pay! I’m looking at you, Jay Black!
