Frakkin’ Clack – More Face of the Enemy; Amazon fraks up

The latest two episodes of Battlestar Galactica: The Face of the Enemy have been posted at SciFi.com as of yesterday. They still maintain the suspense of the “who dun it” of the series, while adding a clue or two as to who might be the culprit.
In webisode #7, things sure seem to be pointing to the Eight being the one who injected the latest victim with an overdose. Red herring? Perhaps. Someone had to have killed the man, as he certainly didn’t seem the type to think he’d do everyone a favor and take up less air by offing himself, nor did he seem to be suffering from the lack of oxygen. Then again, air loss can make people do crazy things.
Last minute Amazon TV on DVD deals … Come and knock on our door
I’m sure it’s crept up on you like the sneaky voyeuristic hand from Angel, like the drunken teddy bear from Supernatural, like the crap that is Heroes this season. But did you know that tomorrow is the last day that Amazon will guarantee free super-saver shipping to arrive in time for Christmas? Get thee to the CliqueClack TV on DVD store — and fast!
You aren’t going to believe the deals that Amazon has been saving until last minute. From Arrested Devlopment to Sex and the City, there’s a comedy for everyone’s tastes, not to mention some collector’s sets and other fun TV. You can bet I’m going shopping again; want to see the deals?
Deal of the day: Greatest American Hero: Complete Series at 57% off
This is a series I’d wanted to pick up for a while, but the price wasn’t easy to justify. Now it’s pretty much a no-brainer.
Amazon.com has the complete series of The Greatest American Hero on sale now for $43.49, which is 57% off the usual $99 it goes for. You get all three seasons, a bunch of extras and — the best part — a freakin’ cape and suit instruction notebook! Oh man, ComicCon is gonna be sweet next year. Y’know, for someone who dresses up for it. Not me.
This is also a great time to pick up the series, as you can re-watch (or watch for the first time) before the reported feature-length film comes to theaters.
There are more deals for the next couple of weeks, so I’ll be posting them here to keep you up-to-date. Also, they’ll be added to our handy-dandy store for easy reference.
More Amazon.com deals (sick of me yet?)
Yeah, I know … you hate me. I keep mentioning these sick deals for TV on DVD at Amazon.com, yet meanwhile, you’re blowing the moths out of your wallets. Hell, I’m having a hard time not filling my office, living room and garage with more of these sets! But I don’t want you to miss out on them, since they make great bargains for gifts if you’re not getting them for yourself.
Here are a few of the deals that are still up this week:
Weeds: Season One — Normally $29.98, now $14.49 (same savings on season 2 and season 3)
Mad Men: Season One (Blu-ray) — Normally $49.99, now $24.99
Hello Cyber Monday: Amazon.com’s Black Friday isn’t over
Silly me to completely forget that those great “Black Friday” deals happening on Amazon.com were not only for Friday. It turns out that many (or most) of the deals I mentioned last week are still going on today and into the wee hours of tomorrow morning. For example, the Monty Python complete series is still going for a steal at $53.49.
A couple more I didn’t mention last week:
John Adams HBO mini-series: normally $59.99, sale for $23.99
Batman: The Complete Animated Series: normally $107.92, sale for $75.99
Gilligan’s Island: Complete Series: normally $114.82, sale for $32.99
Weeds: a few different seasons (all?) are going for only $11.99
Let us know how you make out shopping these deals!
TV on DVD Black Friday deals on Amazon.com
I didn’t realize — until catching the news last night — that people actually still wait in line through the wee hours of the night to get in on good “Black Friday” deals at retailers. Why go wait in line in the cold and rain when there’s the Internet? Not that it’s a fool-proof way to get to the shopping deals in time, but it’s better than camping out.
I took a look this morning at some of the deals Amazon.com has for TV shows on DVD, and there’s some pretty impressive offerings. I’ve added a list of them below. (Full disclosure: I’ve added the CliqueClack referral tracking code for these, so we definitely appreciate you using our links for your Amazon.com shopping!)
Complete Monty Python’s Flying Circus: Normally $99.95, today $53.49
HBO’s Band of Brothers on Blu-ray: Normally $99.98, today $49.99
