- I’m not sure about this, NBC. People don’t read anymore. Still, Crusoe opens with an ambitious two-hour premiere tonight. It’s actually been awhile since we’ve had a true period show and while I know this is a shipwreck show, it’s not like a cell phone’s going to wash up on shore. It does promise flashbacks, a la Lost, to tell the back story of Robinson.
- Meanwhile, Chris prepares for homecoming on The CW’s Everybody Hates Chris. Then, on The Game, Robin Givens and Rick Fox guest as romantic interests for Malik and Tasha. Or you can watch Jennifer Love Hewitt track a ghost that’s haunting a social networking site on a new Ghost Whisperer on CBS.
- ABC’s Wife Swap should be a fun switch. Take a California socialite who spends a fortune on clothing and cosmetic surgery and switch her with a Maine lobsterwoman who wears clothes until they’re gone. TLC wants to help women like this (well maybe not the first one) get better at managing their crazy busy lives with the new 15-part series Real Simple. Real Life.
- Guys don’t care about that crap, though. They’d rather watch WWE SmackDown! on MyNetwork TV. Or watch people prove themselves idiots on a repeat of FOX’s Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? Alternately, SciFi repeats last week’s Stargate: Atlantis while Cartoon Network throws down the third Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

- The Dodgers look to rebound in the NLCS Game 2 on FOX against the Phillies after dropping Game One 3-2 last night.

- Later, on TBS, Boston and Tampa Bay get their contest on as the ALCS Game 1 begins.
- You could also tune into domestic squabbling as a pampered “queen” switches families with a strong woman on ABC’s Wife Swap. Or just go with the scripted squabbling and fighting on MyNetwork TV’s WWE SmackDown!
- Rochelle finds it harder to ditch an ex-con as a friend than she intended on a new Everybody Hates Chris on The CW. Then, on The Game, Melanie decides to get to the bottom of Janay’s pregnancy and find out once and for all who that baby’s daddy is.
- Alternately, Rachel Leigh Cook guests as Melinda reconnects with her old high school friends when a former classmate dies on CBS’s Ghost Whisperer. Does this mean high school flashbacks starring Jennifer Love Hewitt? They should just grab footage from Part of Five.
- The ten remaining contestants on NBC’s America’s Toughest Jobs compete as loggers tonight. Meanwhile, Jeopardy legend Ken Jennings asks himself FOX’s tough question, Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?

- TBS slows down their baseball playoff coverage to just two games tonight. First up is the ALDS Game 2 between the Chicago White Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays. Apparently, the Chicago teams didn’t show up for the playoffs as neither one has a win yet.
