It was a big premiere week on cable as ‘Pretty Little Liars’, ‘Memphis Beat’, ‘Hawthorne’, ‘Lives of Chloe King’, ‘Hot In Cleveland’, and ‘Happily Divorced’ all debuted. On the broadcast networks, the NBA again took the top spot.
Three NBA games stole the glory for the week on the broadcast networks while cable offered up a number of summer premieres, including ‘White Collar’, ‘Covert Affairs’, ‘Switched At Birth’, and ‘The Glades’.

This week, TV Squad gasped its last breath. But, I care more about the larger trend. Why are the big guns whitewashing the snark out of shows/sites like ‘In Plain Sight’ and TV Squad?
Maybe it’s just me, but does anyone miss Mary’s darkness? ‘In Plain Sight’ seems too happy and chipper now. I miss the Mary who growled in the morning, had an insanely creepy connection to her partner/best friend, and could hit the eye of a sparrow while wounded.
