Revenge finale – Let it play!

Was Nolan killed by the White Haired Man? We find that out in the finale. Though at the end, it seems like a minor question given the shocking, mind-blowing last few minutes of 'Revenge.'

- Season 1, Episode 22 - "Reckoning"

This month has had no shortage of shocking finales, but the best may have been saved for last in Revenge. “Reckoning” was a non-stop thriller with the main characters continually at risk.

Did Nolan die? No! Phew…. It would have been disappointing if he died. He is the only one who has consistently stood by Emily. She needs him. Going into season two, their relationship is the only one that is unchanged. Every other relationship has combusted.

Emily and Daniel are done. Good! She may have had feelings for him, but he destroyed them by following in his father’s footsteps. It’s too bad that Daniel wasn’t playing his father and instead was naive and blinded by his feelings about his parents.

Their parting was surprisingly civil, which set up for Emily to find a little happiness with Jack. Of course, Emily can’t be happy, can she? It was odd timely for Amanda to show up. What, if anything, did Takeda have to do with that? It would be just like him to purposely try to sabotage Emily and Jack. Is Amanda really pregnant? I certainly hope not.

Charlotte is so self-destructive. Her revenge against Declan’s friend was unnecessary, but fitting for a Grayson. Is Charlotte dead? I doubt it, since Conrad seemed to find her pretty fast. I’m not sure if her death would better serve the story or not, but I guess that depends on whether Victoria and/or Lydia are dead. It was heartbreaking to watch her reach out to Declan, take the pills and then for Conrad to find her. He may be an evil person, but he showed he still has something of a heart.

The conspiracy involving the Graysons and David Clarke is much larger than them. That means much more revenge to come! Is the White Haired Man the key to everything? As soon as he mentioned the Emily/Amanda was a fighter like her mother, I guessed she was still alive. But, the reveal at the end was still a shocker. Will Emily track her down? And, does that make it more or less likely that David is still alive?

It comes down to the Americon Initiative. What is the Americon Inititive and how will Emily infiltrate their organization to make them pay?

Do you care if Victoria died? Or Lydia? Or Charlotte? I’m guessing they can’t all be dead. Any chance that the plane blew up as a cover? I doubt it, but how else could Victoria and/or Lydia survived? It is going to be a long wait until fall.

My rule of thumb when it comes to shows where they kill people off, no body, no death. So I would be very shocked if Victoria was really dead. Lydia is fair game though, since she’s no longer that important of a character. For Charlotte, they can’t kill her off until she finds out that Emily is her sister.

And come on, who didn’t see Amanda coming back right before Emily was going to tell Jack everything!?

To me it seemed like a predictable finale, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not really looking forward to next season.

I was sure something would prevent Emily from telling Jack, but I never considered Amanda. I figured she was still under Takeda’s control. Can’t wait to find out how she got away from Takeda or if he sent her back.

I so agree that they can’t kill Victoria or Charlotte. I hope that Victoria (probably with some sort of scarring that requires revenge) and Emily team up in a crazy revenge scheme next season.

In the whole engagement gift scene, I was so hoping that it would have a picture of Emily and her father or something that showed that Victoria knew who she was the entire time. That would have been awesome.

I agree, I was also thinking that it’d be something among the lines of “I know you’re Amanda”

I am addicted to this show!! I literally am obsessed with it! I can’t believe amandas pregnant! I am so upset I wanted emily and Jack to be together. Oh!! Jack is so hot! I love Nolan he is like emilys big bro. I can’t believe emilys mother might still be alive. I don’t think charlotte will die and victoria can’t she’s a huge part of the show. But I was questioning myself and said, omg can she be dead? The white haired man hijacked that plane too. Ashley is gonna get with daniel but I would like that because she has been there for a while and had his back. I am so upset about amanda. I think emilys gonna tell her to leave or something not threatening her but giving her a warning. I don’t hate daniel, I mean how can he go against his father? Even though they framed david clarke for a crime he didn’t commit and killed him, I think daniel feels too loyal to his father. Poor victoria is caught up in all this and she loved david clarke even though she testified against him. Emily is going to seek out her mother, but I don’t know if she will tell her what she’s been doing because maybe her mother will say something. I don’t want to wait until season 2!! I have a couple of favorite shows and this is definitely one of them!!! Its funny because when I first saw the commercial for the show it was ” when everything has been stolen from you, someone has to pay” and I thought wow! I wanna watch that show. My expectations were high from the beginning now they are through the roof!

They never actually showed Victoria boarding the plane, so my guess is that she decided not to get on last-minute and she’s alive. Lydia’s dead; there’s no use left for her.

I thought the same thing, but actually, they do show Victoria getting aboard the plane just as the camera shows the white haired man toying with… whatever he was toying with.

The important fact is that they never showed the plane blowing up! And I don’t think it’s because production lacked the funds to make an explosion for the season finale of one of the most acclaimed series of the season.

I’m still not convinced. I wish I hadn’t erased it off the DVR so I could double-check the scene. Just because we saw her walk up the stairs doesn’t mean she actually got onto the plane. We never saw her sitting in the plane, with it about to take off, and she was very undecided after Conrad’s threats. I think she chickened out.

I’d be dissappointed if the writers pull up a “she was sitting and got off a second before it took off”.

I’d prefer a “the government noticed the plane was tampered with and pulled some shenanigans to make everyone believe it did explode while everyone was safe somewhere else”.

Guess we’ll have to wait and see, but in anyway, I really really hope they don’t kill Victoria, she’ by far the most interesting character of the show.
