A second Psych Twin Peaks homage: Things we’d like to see

Now that the possibility of a second 'Twin Peaks' 'Psych' episode exists, a few of us discussed what we would like to see in that episode ... pretty please?

Even though I’ve only seen the first season of the bizarre cult show, I adored Psych‘s homage to Twin Peaks back in December. So the news that Psych‘s James Roday and Steve Franks are considering penning another Twin Peaks-inspired episode is pretty exciting. If any creative team can do it again successfully, it’s these guys.

Some of the references were so subtle, others completely obvious, but the entire episode was interwoven with respectful and tongue-in-cheek shout-outs; but since the skeleton crew of a CliqueClack team today has the opportunity to muse about what we might like to see in the second TP episode of Psych, we, of course, mused. …

DEB: I just don’t know how they could do another TP episode without doing an obsessive brie on baguette scene. That would be so well done by Roday, whose character always seems to be eating something anyway. It was also surprising that there were no random shots of traffic lights (although they did do the ceiling fans).

Keith thinks Kyle MacLachlan and Lara Flynn Boyle (not that anyone would actually recognize her) need to be brought in this time or they just shouldn’t do it. He’d also like to see more Log Lady.

CHUCK: Well, how about David Duchovny reprising his role as the transvestite DEA agent? Even being on only three episodes, that’s pretty much the most memorable part of the show after Laura’s killer was revealed.

Sounds like a lot of the CliqueClack team wants a little more star power the second time around. And who knows? After the success of the first episode, they just might get it.

How about you? What Twin Peaks reference would you like to see in the second homage episode of Psych?

How about the man himself? Mr. David Lynch would make an epic cameo. Heck, he did voice over work for The Cleveland Show for crying out loud…
