Week of January 18 to January 24
Clever, insolent, creative, irreverent; even a little twisted. I speak of the writers here at CliqueClack, and the unique posts they churn out day after day. How could we let seven days go by without highlighting some of the week’s gems?

Ah, the new programming gradually trickles in and we have more premieres and previews to love:
- Burn Notice is back, and Mike is one pissed off spy, Scott notices.
- Lost is back, Sun is vengeful, and apparently we find the island, or something like that, according to Bob.
- Lie to Me debuts to decent numbers and a general warm fuzzy feeling — Jen loves it.
- Rich has high hopes for TNT’s Trust Me.
Crazy things have happened here at CliqueClack this week, too:
- Starbuck goes insane, according to Jay — and don’t you want to know who Stardoe is?
- And what do you know? The American Idol judges acted like asses again, dragging poor Mark Mudd’s name, well, through the mud. Jason comes to his defense.
- When dumb shows attract smart people, Aryeh writes, brave soul that he is!
- Jackie plots murder — and more — when she schemes about how to off Kripke from The Big Bang Theory.
And we know how to ask the good questions:
- Is How I Met Your Mother the Holy Grail of sitcoms? Debbie posits.
- Bob asks, Do you think Saturday Night Live is too long?
- Is Grey’s Anatomy’s Major McBadass getting soft? wonders Jane.
- What did Dr. Corday represent in Neela’s dreams? Rich analyzes last week’s ER.
- Cate wonders if all the shows are really much better since their return, or if she’s just suffering from post-hiatus high.
- Seriously? Only 12 people voted in the variety show poll? If you care about John Mayer, Ozzy, or variety shows in general, go vote! This is not boding well for the genre….
Oh, and maybe we should all collaborate and write our own TV show, since we’ve got so many original ideas:
- Isabelle creates Smallville spinoff ideas.
- Management lessons from Michael Scott from The Office, courtesy of Aryeh.
- A Diggable ClickClack article? You’d better believe it, says Jay.
- The art of farce, a Guest-clack by Sebastian, explores well-done farce in Frasier and Fawlty Towers.
Finally, the this-and-that this week:
- Jane reminisces about her life — and Molly’s — in her CliqueClack Flashback – The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd.
- I love House, and it was, as usual, an extremely quotable week. for Dr. House.
- The Wire virgin’s diary begins season three, and Bob is still loving it.
- Aryeh opines about TV Presidents past, from worst to best.
