It’s so easy to be cheesy – Redneck Cooking

Happy Halloween everyone. I hope you all are having a good Halloween. I thought about writing a piece about some cool spooky Halloween kind of dish. I came up with the idea of making a meatloaf into the shape of a hand or a foot or something. Then I came across the Not Martha website. This is a cool looking meatloaf and my wife and I thought it would be fun to make one of these the next time we get the whole family together so I am now on the hunt for a hand shaped mold. So now that the meatloaf body part has already been perfected by someone else I decided to go with my original idea and give you my lasagna recipe instead.
Meat Lovers Pie – Redneck Cooking

The other day all day long at work I was craving red meat. Hamburger, bacon, sausage, hot dogs — they all sounded so good. I could not decide which I wanted more. I heated up my Top Ramen for lunch and ate it. The Top Ramen did not satisfy my hunger.I began to form a recipe in my mind as I dreamed about red meat for the rest of the day.
Jeff’s Stroganoff – Out of the box

A good crock pot chili … at last!
Consider it the Holy Grail … I’ve been searching for a good crock pot chili recipe for a long time now. In true Indiana Jones style, I’ve fled from runaway boulders on food websites, I’ve sunk in the quicksand of cookbook after cookbook, and I’ve waded through the pit of snakes, finally to come out in the empty crypt of slow cooker recipes.
For some reason, every recipe that seemed to hold promise ended up cooking off all its flavor and I was left with an embarrassingly bland chili. The Superbowl party of 2004 still haunts me.
So finally, I found a decent base recipe and took things into my own hands, to come up with not only a serviceable crock pot chili, but a delightfully tasty and hearty chili that you’d be proud to serve at any occasion (even the Superbowl party of 2004). This is not your goopy chili in non-specific brown sludge sauce. It’s fresh and vibrant and amazing.
