I don’t ask for much these days. As a mom of an almost-five-year-old who really, really likes me to put him to bed, I don’t get out much. So after a long week, when Friday night finally rolls around, I drink.

I know what you’re thinking, but work with me here. I’m not talking vodka in a secret flask inside my semi-attractive yet hefty mom purse. The perfect wine to match the delectable meal Keith and I have prepared for ourselves, to unwind and satiate — that’s what I’m talking about.

Lindor Truffles are too damned sweet

Lindor TrufflesThe other night I popped open a bottle of Zin for myself (Yes, I said myself. Don’t judge me). After my meal was complete, I still had plenty of the red wine left to be enjoyed. My mind immediately jumped to the bag of Lindt brand Lindor Truffles that I received as part of a Christmas gift. I’ve never been a huge fan of the Lindt balls, as I refer to them. For my money, the best truffles are from Harry and David. Not one to pass up a big bag of chocolate though, I’ve been digging into the truffles since Christmas Eve (I especially love the peanut butter ones).
